Two examples of GIS models we’ve recently developed include an analysis of the relationship between Eastern Bewick’s Wren sightings in eBird with the CHJV’s map of natural communities (Eastern Bewick’s Wren Habitat Relationships) and predicted numbers and distribution of waterfowl species with the number of “duck energy days” or “DEDs” needed to support waterfowl populations at desired levels during winter and fall migration (CHJV DED analysis).
